The Technical Programme Committee of APOGCE 2021 invites you to submit a paper proposal and contribute to this flagship event. A proper review of your paper proposal requires that it contain adequate information on which to make a judgment. Download our instructions guide to assist you with preparing your paper proposal. The paper proposal should have the necessary clearance before it is submitted to APOGCE 2021. Prospective authors should advise of any clearance problems when the paper proposal is submitted.
This case study describes how gas condensates within a subsea tieback system behave very differently to condensed water from a wet-gas system and therefore a pseudo dry-gas system needs to be configured differently for gas-condensate developments. Unmanned minimum facility platforms are a reliable alternative to traditional wellhead platforms or subsea installations, and the technologies enabling simpler designs have evolved. Anadarko aims to maximize immediate short-cycle value through tiebacks and platform relocations in the Gulf of Mexico. This review of papers illustrates some of the innovative solutions used in the region. In maturing oil wells, oil production is often restricted as reservoir pressure depletes.
Thank you for attending this Virtual SPE Workshop. The workshop provided opportunities for speakers to discuss current topics, share experiences based on the latest case studies, gain insights into best practices, and participate in informal debates amongst industry professionals. In addition, the workshop was an excellent occasion for participants to network with fellow peers and exchange ideas on recent industry trends and global geopolitical challenges. It addressed existing and emerging practices on valuation techniques and approaches used in the petroleum economic assessment process, while making an investment opportunity and decisions viable and sustainable during a period of low oil price. This workshop was the platform for discussion and sharing of ideas for a wide range of industry professionals, including practitioners of economics, corporate business planning, decision-making, regulation, legal, geosciences, engineering, and external consulting.
SPE signed agreements with two leading industry associations to promote knowledge sharing and best practice in social responsibility. The world’s sources of oil and gas supply and demand are changing, which is captured by a report from the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers. Technological advancements and economic development are serving as catalysts behind a new energy landscape. Adopting a robust set of Life-Saving Rules can reduce fatalities and lost-time injuries.
The Young Member Engagement Committee (YMEC) is responsible for developing and implementing programs and activities directed towards young members, including university students and young professionals (under the age of 35). The activities aim to develop technical and leadership skills, providing both peer groups with guidance and support to facilitate their career progression. An important focus is placed on developing activities which aid in the transition from student to young professional (YP). Innovation is at the forefront and the committee makes recommendations to the Board as necessary to ensure young member programs have a continuous improvement strategy in place. The committee also places an emphasis on communication by using various platforms and creative delivery methods to facilitate technical knowledge sharing among young members.
Purpose: Communicating the qualifications of a candidate to the award committee is the key to a good award nomination. To that end, SPE has gathered information from award committees, chairpersons, nominators, directors, and staff to assemble a list of best practices to assist members, sections, and regions in preparing high-quality international and regional award nominations. This guide will evolve along with the successful strategies provided by nominators and award committee members, the technologies available, and innovations developed by SPE staff and members at the local, regional, and international level. As a global organization, SPE recognizes the diverse cultures represented in the membership, and strives to present equal opportunity for all members to participate successfully in the SPE International Awards Program. SPE gives no special consideration to geographic diversity of recipients.
This resource center is your first source for information about conducting activities and getting involved in the variety of programs offered by SPE.Contact firstname.lastname@example.org To allow for succession planning it is recommended terms of service are staggered. All voting officer roles (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Chairperson) should be open for re-election after the term time ends. If at any time during the term a board member resigns, the chapter President should select a member to fill the vacancy for the remaining term. If the President resigns, the Vice-President should become the President and appoint another member as Vice-President.
The basic objective of this course is to introduce the overview and concept of production optimisation, using nodal analysis as a tool in production optimisation and enhancement. The participants are exposed to the analysis of various elements that help in production system starting from reservoir to surface processing facilities and their effect on the performance of the total production system. Depth conversion of time interpretations is a basic skill set for interpreters. There is no single methodology that is optimal for all cases. Next, appropriate depth methods will be presented. Depth imaging should be considered an integral component of interpretation. If the results derived from depth imaging are intended to mitigate risk, the interpreter must actively guide the process.
SPE's peer review process provides invaluable constructive feedback from experts in your field, allowing you to make a good paper even better. How does the peer-review process work? Authors are encouraged to submit technical papers for publication in our peer-reviewed journals. We welcome both conference papers and papers submitted directly for review. After selecting a journal and submitting your paper, the journal's editors will identify technical reviewers who will evaluate your paper's criteria for publication and provide constructive feedback.
