The Amplitude / Phase Treatment of Full Tensor Gradiometry

A new approach based on amplitude and phase is used to develop an algebra for potential field tensor gradients. This is noncommutative. A full tensor gridding algorithm is discussed. Also, just three power spectra are needed to characterize a profile. Phase wrapping, in 3 D, is found to occur more often as the signal amplitude approach zero. Local fitting of Fourier Series to the signal is discussed.
