The fourth edition of the Sustainability Reporting Guidance for the Oil and Gas Industry increases the number of issue areas from 12 to 21 and includes a greater focus on climate and energy. Meeting the challenge of climate change requires worldwide action from all sectors of society. Throughout this transition, oil and gas will have a role to play within the mix of energy sources to meet the need for affordable and clean energy products and services. The guidance focuses on the business purpose of health services in the oil and gas sector and the additional value that effective leadership around health and human performance can bring. IPIECA, the oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues, has released a new fact sheet in an effort to promote carbon capture and storage.
