The previous version of the Guidelines for Application of the PRMS was published in 2011 following the release of the Petroleum Resources Management System, or PRMS, in 2007. When the PRMS was updated in 2018, it was incumbent upon SPE's Oil and Gas Reserves Committee (OGRC) to undertake a revision of the Application Guidelines (also referred to as the AG). However, the 2022 AG is not merely a refresh of the 2011 AG, but a complete re-write by contemporary subject matter experts. This webinar presents a background on the history of, and the need for, resources definitions and their application, with a brief overview of the updates between the 2007 and 2018 versions of the PRMS.
