The basic objective of this course is to introduce the overview and concept of production optimisation, using nodal analysis as a tool in production optimisation and enhancement. The participants are exposed to the analysis of various elements that help in production system starting from reservoir to surface processing facilities and their effect on the performance of the total production system. Depth conversion of time interpretations is a basic skill set for interpreters. There is no single methodology that is optimal for all cases. Next, appropriate depth methods will be presented. Depth imaging should be considered an integral component of interpretation. If the results derived from depth imaging are intended to mitigate risk, the interpreter must actively guide the process.
About 16% of US offshore production in the Gulf of Mexico remains offline after Hurricane Laura caused mass evacuations more than a week ago. International SOS has led medical services operations on offshore installations globally and has managed clinical cases in which patients presented with signs and symptoms of known infectious illnesses. The complete paper describes a service company’s approach to the development and application of technology and innovative solutions to improve driving performance on the basis of extensive data analysis. In 2013, ExxonMobil PNG facilitated a public/private partnership to improve healthcare education at the University of Papua New Guinea and clinical management in child health at Port Moresby General Hospital and other facilities. The complete paper discusses Equinor’s operation planning tool, developed to present planners with the technical conditions of a platform, identify potentially dangerous combinations of concurrent activities, and propose learnings from 8 years of incident recordings.
The pandemic has been an unexpected jolt for the global economy, bringing many industries to a halt. Murphy has taken a step forward into a digital future by designing and implementing a COVID-19 tracking app that is easy to use, quick, and convenient. A coalition of more than 40 organizations is urging the federal government to take steps to protect workers at oil and gas facilities, as well as the communities surrounding the sites, from the coronavirus. The International Association of Oil and Gas Producers and IPIECA, the industry group focused on environmental and social performance, have released their annual assessment of health performance in the industry. The report is based on voluntary reporting from the two groups’ member companies. Shell’s health, safety, and environment team in Argentina, with support from Tenaris, created a new safety protocol during the down period that allowed the company to be the first operator to resume operations in May. Experts say that more than a decade of research has made it clear that current setback distances, in states where they exist, are inadequate to protect public health. Now, political pressure to push oil and gas wells about half a mile from homes and other buildings is peaking across the country.
